Scarves: Year Round Accessory!

At Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta wearing an uber thin, cotton/linen blend scarf from a Seaside, FL boutique, Maui Jim sunglasses and a tank from a local Atlanta boutique. I was told I looked “festival chic”, just what I was going for!

Scarves are a perfect way to cover up after leaving the gym or studio.  There are so many ways to tie them, I even tied mine into a shawl on Saturday as it got chilly which makes it great to run to the grocery store in! My favorite kind of scarves are actually circle scarves, or infinity scarves.

The key to wearing scarves is to find patterns and fabrics that match the look you’re going for. Here are a few examples:

Casual: something like what I am wearing above. Lightweight and flowy, color is always good here. Anthropologie.com at $48.

Warm and Cozy: A Chunky knit! What a cute way to add some animal print. This is from shopbop.com at $210.

Saturday night out: SEQUINS! Full sequin scarf… TO DIE FOR! Atlanta Activewear sold out of these before I could get one last year, I MUST HAVE ONE! Haven’t found on yet, but will cost you over $100.

#Today I’m Wearing: Saturday 9/17/11

#TodayImWearing is a huge Twitter Trending Topic that I post to everyday. I’m going to start posting my workout outfits for everyday on the blog and Facebook so everyone can see them. I think it will be a great way to showcase what the clothes can do, how good they can look and also keep me on track for my Savannah Rock ‘N’ Roll 13.1 training!

So, Today I’m Wearing:

Rogiani Graphic Rolldown Pants ($110), Zobha Marilyn Tank ($66), MPG Eclipse Jacket ($115) and Nike Eclipse II Shoes ($65)

This is one of my go to running outfits, it was a bit chilly in Atlanta this morning so I threw on a jacket and pants. Marliyn is a great running tank, I wear a 30D bra, so I layer a sports bra, usually Eva by RESE, for extra support. Other activities, no extra bra necessary.

ROGIANI pants are fitted and flared. These pants are the upper echelon of workout gear, hand made in LA. What all the celebs wear!

The reflective taping on this jacket is “scalloped” which means it looks like a ruffle! SO cute and very reflective so we will always be seen.  There is also scalloped taping on the front of the jacket creating a contoured bust line. You can’t see it here, but the main contour panels are tonal (same color) baby zebra print and the jacket is longer in the back to give you some bum coverage. MPG FW11 is amazing.
